It´s the most wonderful time of the year

Today is the first Monday of December. The first Monday of my month (yes, I was born in December) and my favorite time of the year. So I could not fail to make a post allusive to this season. I love it, the magic that is lived these days. For me, December is my month, the month I was born, the month I celebrate one more year of life, the month when the streets fill with light and the heart lights up, a month when the cold on the street is felt and where hearts warm up, a month in which above all we celebrate, celebrates life, bond, peace and new beginnings. December is synonymous of family, of mutual help, joy, affection, hope, giving and receiving. In December people start to look more around them and let altruism speak for them, they remember those who they love the most and how life should be celebrated. In December there is a feeling of renewal in the air, another year is about to end and a new one to begin with, there is a wave of desires and hope that invades us and makes us more proactive in the pursuit of our dreams. Above all, December is a month of magic in which dreams become more present and our faith that everything is possible overflows us.

Hoje é a primeira segunda-feira de dezembro. A primeira segunda-feira do meu mês (sim, nasci em dezembro) e da minha época favorita do ano. Por isso não podia deixar de fazer um post alusivo a esta altura. Adoro, a magia que se vive por estes dias. Para mim dezembro é o meu mês, o mês em que nasci, o mês em que celebro mais um ano de vida, o mês em que as ruas se enchem de luz e o coração se ilumina, um mês em que o frio na rua se faz sentir e em que os corações se aquecem, um mês em que acima de tudo se celebra, celebra a vida, a união, a paz e os novos começos. Dezembro é sinónimo de família, de entreajuda, de alegria, de carinho, de esperança, de dar e receber. Em dezembro as pessoas passam a olhar mais em seu redor e deixam que o altruísmo fale por elas, lembram-se dos que mais amam e de como a vida deve ser celebrada. Em dezembro há um sentimento de renovação no ar, mais um ano está prestes a acabar e um novo a começar, há uma onda de desejos e esperança que nos invade e nos torna mais pro-activos na busca dos nossos sonhos. Acima de tudo dezembro é um mês de magia em que os sonhos se tornam mais presentes e a nossa fé de que tudo é possível nos transborda. 

And I could only worship this spirit. It's true, I'm not sure why, but I love everything that has to do with this time of year. The fluffy blankets, the cozy socks, the fireplace, the hot chocolate, the chocolates, how much I adore them, the lights that dress the streets, the Christmas songs that fill our ears and do not leave our heads, ornaments Christmas, to ride the tree, to decorate the house ... EVERYTHING ... But above all the spirit we live. The Spirit of peace, hope, altruism and mutual help. If these are my principles of life for the whole year? Yes, they are. If I think they should be present in each and every day? Yes, definitely. But if they are only at this time, at least they are at some point of the year. And my hope is that every year someone will get infected by this magic and take it with them for the rest of the 365 days of the following year.

E eu só podia adorar este espirito. É verdade, não sei bem o porquê, mas adoro tudo o que tem a ver com esta altura do ano. As mantas fofinhas, as meias peludas, a lareira acesa, o chocolate quente, aí os chocolates o quanto eu os adoro, as luzes que vestem as ruas, as músicas de natal que nos enchem os ouvidos e não nos saem da cabeça, os enfeites de natal, o montar a árvore, o decorar a casa… TUDO… Mas acima de tudo o espirito que se vive. O Espirito de paz, esperança, altruísmo e entreajuda. Se estes são os meus princípios de vida para todo o ano? Sim, são. Se acho que eles deviam estar presentes no dia-a-dia de cada um? Sim, decididamente. Mas se só estiverem nesta época, ao menos que estejam em alguma altura do ano. E a minha esperança é que a cada ano alguém se deixe contagiar por esta magia de tal forma que a leve consigo para o resto dos 365 dias do ano seguinte. Por isso, espero poder inspirar-vos e contagiar-vos com esta magia ao ponto de viverem esta época ao máximo e viverem 2017 incutidos com este espirito.
